Hyo Ye Coursey
Camden, DE
A warm smile and kind words were sure to greet you whenever you were in the presence of Hyo Ye Coursey. This loving and beautiful mother, wife, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at her home on July 29, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
Born in South Korea, Hyo Ye moved to the United States with her family in 1964. She was smart and caring and always quick to compliment others. Her beauty was deep and true, both inside and out. Hyo Ye enjoyed a career as a talented cosmetologist who delighted in finding just the right style for her clients. She always loved cooking for her family and was known far and wide for her delicious homemade egg rolls and Korean Kalbi BBQ.
Hyo Ye’s generous spirit will live on through her beloved family who she treasured all her life. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Craig Coursey; her daughter, Kolinda Scialabba (husband John, sons Michael and Andrew); Step daughters Belinda Arseneau (husband Edgar and daughters Gwen and Linda Sue) and Brenda Lee McGinnis; sisters Hyo Hi Chi and Son Ye Kang; sister-in-laws Mi Kyung Yun and Chong Ja Yun, and much loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Hyo Ye always loved music and dancing, and lived her life to the fullest in every moment of her years here on earth. She no doubt has already started to dance with the angels. They say there may be no greater thing than a life well loved, and her life and legacy are a true testament to that. She will be missed beyond this world, and carried with us all the days of our lives.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W Camden Wyoming Ave., Camden, DE 19934 on Thursday, August 4th, at 11 am. In gratitude for the benevolent gift of care provided to Hyo Ye, donations may be made to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
