Helen Virginia Duffy, 86, of Dover passed away on November 15, 2023. Born in Townsend, DE, she was the daughter of the late Ada (Blanchfield) and Syndey G. Heverin.
Helen loved the beaches of Outer Banks, North Carolina, country music, shopping for family, gardening with her son, and spending time with the grandchildren at their outings and events. She also found great pleasure in indulging in her favorite British comedies, Hallmark movies, and Amish books. Holidays held a special place in Helen's heart, and she treasured the moments shared with her beloved family. She leaves behind a legacy of enduring familial bonds strengthened by her unwavering devotion.
Helen is survived by her children: Barry Brent Connors and his wife Elizabeth of Middletown, Crystal Yvonne Connors of Middletown, Michael Russell Duffy and his wife Wendy of Dover and Sean Patrick Duffy and his wife Cassie of Dover; two brothers Robert Heverin and his wife Barbara of Townsend and Warren Heverin of Townsend; 13 grandchildren: Amanda, Josh, Cynthia, Dakota, Michael, Clay, Sean Patrick Duffy, II, Kaiden, Liam, Declan, Bryn, M’Kinly and Tobyn; and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Edward Reaves Connors, III.
A funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 25, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday. Entombment will be later in Townsend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen's name to Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934 or to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
