Hazel Louise Graham, surrounded by her loving family, unexpectedly passed from this world and entered her promised eternal home on November 5, 2023, at Bay Health Hospital, Dover, Delaware. Louise was born on November 19, 1955, to William and Susan Moffett of Clayton, Delaware and lived in Marydel, Maryland until her death.
After graduating from Lake Forest High School in 1973, she worked in the medical field, but her greatest joy was becoming a mother and homemaker. She loved and was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Nannie”.
Although in pain most of the time, Louise accepted her disability and lived life to the fullest, finding joy and happiness in all she did and all she met. She was always the light to which family and friends were drawn when troubles or worries were heavy on hearts and the first to share joy and love. Louise never met a stranger and if she saw a need she was one of the first you would see. Cooking was a natural gift for her and always made sure to have plenty. She loved making her candy and cookie Christmas trays and had them ready to pass out on Christmas Eve. Louise was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and Harrington American Legion where she enjoyed good times with friends and often one would see that twinkle in her eyes just before she was about to say or do something mischievous.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband Leroy “Mike” Wesley Graham, Jr. and by her daughter, Lori Lynn Jester. She is survived by three children: Donnie F. Jester, W. Cliff Jester (Jenna), and Holly B. Glaeser (Joey); step-daughter, Tammy Tribbett (Troy); four siblings: William F. Moffett, Jr. (Debbie), Sandra Simmons (George), Linda Vanderwende, and Susan Draper (Jeff); seven grandchildren: C.J. (Debbie), William (Kally), Hunter and Jolyne Jester; Dane, Raymond and Aleah Glaeser; one step-granddaughter Allison Tribbett; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. – noon Tuesday. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, DE.
