Harry Wilson, Sr. Obituary

     Harry R. Wilson, Sr., age 82 of Banner, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

     Born April 20, 1940 in Smyrna, DE, he was the son of the late Earl Wilson, Sr. and Margaret Clark Wilson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Wilson, Jr., William Wilson and James Wilson; and four sisters, Virginia Coursey, Florence Luff, Dorothy Luff and Ruth Wilson.

     He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Janet Hays Wilson (June 16th); two sons, Harry Robert Wilson Jr. and his wife Ruth of Auburn, Indiana and Randall Wilson Sr. and his wife Crystal of Havre De Grace, MD; one daughter, Crystal Vincent and her husband George of Houston, DE; three sisters, Hazel Korell of Henderson, MD, Pat (Jimmy) Hurley of Dover, DE and Violet (Charles) Mullins of Elkton, MD; eleven grandchildren, Mitchell, Farrah, Randy Jr., Cody, Logan, Kaleigh, Brett, Ashlyn, Morgan, Monica and Billy. 16 great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Chico also survive.

     Harry was a manager at Dover Little League from 1972 – 1976 and the bowling coach for Rodney Village Bowlerama for many years. He was the Cub Master of Pack 78 of Dover and also served in many capacities at the Willow Grove Church of God over a span of 35 years and also Little Paint First Church of God. Harry was nominated for Outstanding Youth Man of the Year in 1973 by Rev. Robert Sauls. He was a carpenter and also served in the United States Navy as a machinist mate from 1957 to 1959.

     There will be a viewing from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE  19934. Funeral service will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the funeral home, where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Felton, DE. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
