Glen R. Hutchison, age 78, from Dover, DE passed away on Mon. January 5, 2026.
He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sargent. After retiring from the military, he worked as a supervisor for General Metal Craft, then took on a position working for the State of Delaware as a Senior Rehabilitation Instructor for the Visually Impaired, then retired as a Child Support Enforcement Supervisor.
He enjoyed woodworking, mechanical work, gardening, hunting, fishing, music, playing his guitar, and cooking/baking.
His dogs, “Da Boys” were his pride and joy. He raised Cavalier King Charles dogs. To say they were spoiled is an understatement. He showed them in the AKC circuit and loved them unconditionally as family pets.
He was a humble, selfless individual who would help anyone. There was never anyone who was a stranger to him. He took the time to compliment people and strike up a conversation, wherever he went. He was the kind of person who would drop everything or make a way, if he thought you needed help. He never wanted or expected anything in return.
He is survived by his daughter Tammy Crockett (Ed), and sister Lisa Adams (Larry). His grandchildren, Isla Hutchison and Karston Hutchison.
He was preceded in death by his wife-Helen Hutchison, son-Glen “Alan” Hutchison, mother- Glenna Hutchison, father-Nelson Hutchison.
Services will be held at Grace Church 805 Atlanta Rd. in Seaford, DE on Saturday, March 7 at 11:30. Food and fellowship will follow in Fellowship Hall.
Interment with Military honors will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery 26669 Patriots Way in Millsboro, DE on Monday, March 9 at 10:00 am.
