George Earl Effinger

George (Mickey) Effinger passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. George was born on October 7, 1931 in Morrisville, PA to the late Joseph C. and Mable W. Effinger. George grew up in Morrisville, He later moved to Frederica, DE, where he became a farmer, well known for his horseradish. George was an avid lover of gardening, his dogs, traveling and hunting. George is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joseph Effinger, his sister Esther Fairbrother and his daughter Diane Phillips. George is survived by his sister Mabel Moore, His daughter Linda Callaway; grandchildren, Mickey Callaway, Daniel White-Phillips, James Callaway II, Mary Wellwood; and 9 greatgrandchildren. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Pippin Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held later in the spring.
