Gary Norton Obituary

     Gary Lynn Norton, of Dover, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  He was 63.

     Gary was born July 23, 1957, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and served proudly in both the United States Army and United States Navy. In his free time, Gary enjoyed helping his Amish friends, working in his garage with his tools, and hunting; but his favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

    Gary was preceded in death by his son, Thurley Murphy, and his adoptive parents, Lilburn & Wilma(Parrish) Norton.

    Gary is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gladys(Ford) Norton; son, Harley Murphy, of Dover; 2 daughters, Deborah Moore, of Dover, and April Rangel, of Houston, Texas; 3 siblings, Michael Norton & wife, Sherry, of Dagsboro; Nancy Sheffy & husband, Bob, of West Virginia; and LeeAnn Carrow & husband, Russ, of Virginia. His step-mother, Barbara Norton, of Seaford; and 5 grandchildren, Jesse Rangel, Joshua Schofield, Katie Rangel, Daniel Rangel, and Allison Moore.

   Funeral Services will be held 12 noon, Thursday, February 11, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home,Inc. , 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view 1 hour before, adhering to the current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing, social distancing, and 50 people maximum at a time. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
