Gary Clark was born on October 19, 1958 in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Estina Benson. He attended the Caesar Rodney School District. After completing his education, Gary enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served for three years from May 1977 to May 1980. Following his military service, he worked for the Department of Corrections for both the State of Delaware and the State of New Jersey.
Gary was married to Angie Holloway, with whom he had a daughter, Whittney Clark. He later worked in the Asbestos Abatement Removal Industry for several years. Gary also had twin boys, Joshua and Justin Clark.
Gary met his significant other, Denise Queen, while working at Playtex. He was an avid sports fan, particularly passionate about his Philadelphia Eagles. Family gatherings brought him great joy, as he loved spending time with loved ones, dancing, joking, and creating lasting memories. Gary also enjoyed sitting in his screened tent, listening to music, whether he was by himself or had company.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Estina Benson, and his stepfather, Joshua Benson. Gary leaves behind to cherish his memories his significant other, Denise Queen; his daughter, Whittney and her husband Shawn; his twin sons, Joshua and Justin Clark; his granddaughter, Lila; his sister, Erma Clark; his nephews, Gary Clark (Nikita) and Leroy Clark (Shell); and his niece, Akisha Clark (Brittany). He is also survived by three uncles: Glen (Ada), Donald (Yvette), Terry (Charmaine), and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.
