Eva Mae McBride, of Felton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 93.
Eva was born September 21, 1924, in Bay au George , Florida to the late, Johnnie & Anna (Welcome) Fryer. She had worked as a cook for several nursing homes over many years before retiring. Eva was a member of the Frederica Senior Center, and in her free time enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, and doing puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John W. McBride; her children, Anna Mae, Joe, Herman & Kenneth McBride; and her siblings, Herman, Cleo, and Bernice Fryer, Ethel Mae Finney, Thelma Pittman, and Pauline Fields.
Eva is survived by 10 children, Tim Fryer, of Crisfield, MD; Charles Fryer, of Chester, PA.; Johnnie McBride, of Savannah, GA.; Mattie McBride, of Felton; Perry & Karen McBride, of Milford; David & Beverly McBride, of Bear; Avis McBride, of Felton; Marian McBride, of Savannah, GA. ; Little Eva McBride, of Newark and Eugene McBride, of Felton. 2 daughters-in-laws, Kay McBride, of Savannah, GA.; son-in-law, James Hanzer, of Felton; her sister, Mary Scott, of Chester, PA; 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at 11am, Monday, February 12, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may view 1 hour before.
