Elias "Reds" Clifford Stowell

Elias "Reds" Clifford Stowell, of Frederica, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, September 9, 2023. He was 87 years old.

 Elias was born November 26, 1935, in Windham, Vermont to the late, Clifford and Marion (Hall) Stowell. 

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 20 years Audrey Stowell and his second wife of 44 years, Mary Jo (Davidson) Stowell and brother Roy Stowell.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Cargo Master. After the Air Force, Elias worked for 20 years at High Point Mobile Home Sales.  He then went on to run Red’s Mobile Home Service.  He enjoyed antique cars and in his free time did auto body work. 

Elias is survived by his five children, Stephen Stowell (Karen), Julie Stowell Andrew, Gene Stowell (Denise), Lisa Stowell McGee (John), Jamie Stowell; four step children, Curtis Ensley (Brenda), Michael Ensley, Robert Ensley (Karen), Sherry Lighthall (Jeff) and ; four sisters, Margaret, Jean, Lill and Bea; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on September 23, 2023 at 1pm at 1657 Buffalo Rd., Frederica, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter Headquarters, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
