Eileen M. Foskey, 92
Dover - Eileen M. Foskey passed away peacefully Saturday March 27, 2021 at home, with family by her side. Eileen was born April 11, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Andrew and Susan Marsh. The family moved to Wilmington, DE in 1940 and then to Woodland Beach Smyrna, DE in 1947. In the mid-50’s, Eileen went to work for The Diamond State Telephone Company on State Street Dover, as a switch board operator. Later as the company became AT&T, she worked in Wilmington, DE. She retired after approximately 35 years with the company. In 1985, Eileen moved in with her son and daughter-in-law and stayed with them for approximately 15 years, taking care of her two grandchildren; Matthew and Shannan.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest F. Foskey, her sister Jeanne Lowman, her brothers William Marsh, Andrew (Bert) Marsh and Kenneth Marsh.
Eileen is survived by her son, Richard and daughter-in-law, Linda of Dover; two grandchildren, Dr. Matthew R. Foskey and his wife Lynne of Newcastle, CA., Shannan Lynn Sartin and her husband Matthew and three great grandchildren; Ava, Sophia and Luke of Middletown; her sister Carolyn Jarman of Milford; her brothers David Marsh and his wife Becci of Kent, WA; Daniel Marsh and his wife Phyllis of Dover and forty four nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
