Efrain Martinez passed away suddenly on October 20, 2025. He was born to Eladio Martinez and Mercedes Figueroa on September 4, 1945 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico.
In 1962, he relocated to Coeymans, New York, where he worked at Frangella’s Mushroom Plant, and later worked and retired from Spancrete Construction. In 1984, Efrain married his loving and devoted wife Delores. Together they had four children.
Efrain enjoyed playing softball, doing “word-find” searches, horsing racing and was an avid bowler. His famous saying was “I gotta get it done”
Efrain leaves to mourn, wife Delores: son Jason Martinez (Manda); stepsons Dwayne and Donald Mason; stepdaughter Wendy Edmonds; siblings: Mariana, Blanca, Maria, Betzaida Martinez; preceded siblings: Gladys, Elisa and Aida Martinez; six brother-in-laws, (two preceding); seven sister-in-laws (two preceding); seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where family and friends may visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private.
