Edwin Draper

Edwin "Richy" Draper, 57, of Seaford, DE passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Seaford Genesis, surrounded by his family. 

Richy was born January 11, 1966, son of Edwin and Patricia Draper. 

"Drape" graduated from Seaford High School in 1985, where he wrestled, played baseball and was part of the State Champion Bluejay football team and was on the Blue Gold team in 1985.  Richy enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball. He always lived on the edge and there was never a dull moment when he was around. 

Richy was proceeded in death by his father, Edwin "Dickie" Draper, his grandmother, Allie Hammond, his "pop" Jr. Massey and mother, Patricia Massey. 

Richy is survived by his daughters, Allison Draper of Seaford, Delaware, Madison Draper of Seaford, Delaware and Tailyre Ortiz of Chicago, Illinois.  His sister, Cheryl Winters of Seaford, brother, Dennis Hall of Milford, Delaware, nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held for Richy on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Woodland United Methodist Church, 5123 Woodland Church Road, Seaford, Delaware.
