Edward "Ed" Ellingsworth, born May 15, 1951 passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loved ones.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Fred "Jr" & Lyda Ellingsworth.
Ed was a devoted husband to his wife, Helena "Pewee" Ellingsworth, and brother to Fred Ellingsworth (Brenda) of Wyoming. A proud father to Chrissy Turbitt (Paul) of Seaford, David Scott (Lisa) of Woodside, Ed Ellingsworth (Suzanne) of League City, TX. He deeply loved his grandchildren, Mandy Turbitt of Georgetown, Samantha Adkins (Dennis) of Laurel, Ryan & Ethan of League City, TX. He also held a special place in his heart for his niece and nephew Don Ellingsworth (Julie) of Tampa, FL and Ashley Henry (Mike) of Wyoming, and his great-nieces and nephew Jarod & Jessica of Tampa, FL and Sophia and Brynleigh of Wyoming, and great-great niece Penelope Ellingsworth of Tampa, FL.
A hardworking man, Ed owned and operated Ellingsworth & Sons for many years before continuing his career with Drywall Associates, where he worked until his retirement. Never one to stay idle, he later joined Golf Cart Sales & Services in Goldsboro, MD, where he remained active until the end of 2024.
Outside of work, Ed enjoyed old movies, woodworking, classic cars, and shooting - especially sporting clays and target shooting. His loyal dog, Maggie, was always by his side, bringing him endless companionship and joy.
Above all, Ed will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, and his generous spirit.
