Edna Yoder, 85, of Dover, Delaware, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Edna married Ivan Yoder, and they shared 63 years of marriage together. She was a faithful member of Central Mennonite Church from its beginning. Her love for God and others was evident by her involvement in many church opportunities.
She used her gifting well as she taught many children through the years. She had a fun sense of humor and could not resist a practical joke. She practiced as a nurse and neuromuscular therapist. She always had a welcoming place in her heart for everyone.
Edna is survived by their four daughters: Doriece (Willis) Gingerich, Donna (Nolan) Sensenig, Marcia (Randy) Spence and Lori (Martin) Miller, siblings: Susie Byler, Barbara Epley-Straughn, Paul Mark, Teresa Halfhill and other relatives. She was an amazing Gramma to 17 grandchildren and Oma to 22 great grands, creating fun and lasting memories.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, her parents: David E. and Anna J. Yoder, siblings: Andrew, Lovina Wessell, John Henry and Jonas, two sons-in-law: Kenny Pritchett and Randy Spence, and granddaughter Melanie Miller.
Services will be held at Central Mennonite Church 220 W. Denny’s Road, Dover Delaware 19904. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 5 PM to 7 PM.
The funeral service will be on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
