Dorothy S (Morgan) Smith

Dorothy S Smith departed this life on November 30, 2021 at home.  She was born February 13, 1938 in Milford, DE to the late Robert Byrd Morgan and Carrie May Morgan. 

Dorothy attended public school at Benjamin Banneker and high school at William W.M. Henry Comprehensive High School.  She also attended Delaware State College for 2 years of Higher Education. Dorothy worked for the Milford School District for 30 years retiring December 1989. Dorothy was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, in which she dedicated her life to serving Jesus Christ. Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.   In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her three brothers William Morgan, Harry Morgan and Robert Morgan, Jr; three sisters Elizabeth Comithier, Lillie Green and Evelyn Morgan.   Remaining to cherish her memory are two daughters, Dorcell Spence and Adriene Browne; one son, Melvin Crandel Smith (Rose); one sister, Grace Brown; two sister in-laws, Agnes Harris, and Elizabeth Johnson (Albert).    Additionally, she leaves five grandchildren, Tara McBride (Ronald), Melvin Eugene Smith (Alvina), Brett Smith (Kacee), Dennis Spence Jr. (Andrea), Dominque Browne; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There will be a private family viewing Monday, December 6, 2021 from 4-5 p.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, Del, followed by a viewing for the public from 5 to 6 p.m.
