Doris Wilma Angley Rummel

     Doris Angley Rummel, also known as Mom, Grandma, Gigi, Angley or Angie, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 94 on June 22, 2026.

     She was a graduate of Bladensburg High School and attended Towson University. She had a great love for flowers and enjoyed her employment over the years as a floral designer. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and The Order of Franciscans. Her church and her church family held a special place in her heart.

     She leaves behind her five children, Leighton (Bud) Rummel, Paul Rummel (Suzi), Marti Dechesne, Penny McCaffrey and Linda Cook along with 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, two sons-in-law, and two brothers all of whom she loved dearly. She leaves behind many dear and faithful friends.      

     Her wish was to be cremated. There will be a service of remembrance on September 20, 2026 at 1:00 pm at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Lewes DE.

     In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Peter’s Altar Guild.
