Donny Wayne Neidig

Donny W. Neidig, 78, of Wyoming, DE passed away on July 14, 2026 after a long battle with lung disease. Born October 14, 1947 in Dover, DE. Donny was a Vietnam Veteran, and held a career as a licensed welder. He lived a long and full life which included some of his favorite pastimes of boating, fishing, crabbing, hunting and gardening.  After retirement, he enjoyed spending his time with family, especially his first grandson Kenneth who was like a son to him.  

Donny is preceded in death by his parents Edith and William Neidig; and both brothers, William (Dickie) and Danny Neidig. He is survived by his children, Diana Gotch and Pamela Simons; as well as seven grandchildren (Kenneth, Cody, Christopher, Julia, Tristan, Haley and Clark) and seven great-grandchildren. His memory will continue to live on in our hearts. 

There will be a private service held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donny’s memory to Meals on Wheels through the Modern Maturity Center of Dover, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
