Donna Lee David

Donna Lee David, 84, of Viola DE went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, August 4, 2023, surrounded by family at Bayhealth Hospital, Milford DE.

Donna was born in Uniontown PA on February 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Gertrude Ryland Colbert. She was a graduate of Newark High School, 1958. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Mary Lou Yost and brother Barry Colbert.

Donna found joy in her family and in serving her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. She found great fulfillment in her role as a pastor’s wife, mother, mommom and homemaker. Donna was given to hospitality and found satisfaction in making others feel welcome and at home. Many will remember Donna for her signature dessert - sticky buns.

She is survived by her loving husband, of almost 65 years, Ronald David; her children Dane David (Denise) of Shalimar FL, Deanna Locke (Dan) of Strasburg VA, and Devon David (Samantha) of Felton DE; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one brother Robert Colbert; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Donna will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 18 at Faith Community Church, Camden DE. Pastors John Roseti and Dan Locke will officiate. Burial will be private.
