Diana Rose (Raymond) Baird

   Diana Rose Baird, of Camden, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 20, 2021, in Bayhealth/ Kent General Hospital. She was 64.

   Diana was born March 8, 1957 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the late, Joseph & Harriet(Simpson) Raymond. Diana wore several hats throughout her career. She worked as a beautician for over 40 years, most recently at Unisex Beauty Palace; she worked at the Brandywine Center For Autism in Milford; and as a para professional for both the Caesar Rodney and Lake Forest School Districts. At Lake Forest High School she had the opportunity to work as the Special Education Clerk, and most recently the Attendance Clerk. Diana had a love for children, especially adapting and finding new ways to teach and reach students with and without disabilities. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Friend.

  In her free time she enjoyed going to the beach, doing crafts, and spending time with her family, and pets.  She was a devout Christian, and a Member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Dover, where she also taught Sunday School for many years.

  Diana is survived by her husband of 33 years, Thomas Lee Baird; her daughter, Hillary Rose Baird; her son, Jesse Lee Baird, both of Camden; and her sister, Susan Lovelace, of Washington State.

   A Celebration of Life will be held at Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2pm, in her home church, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 425 N. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE; with a visitation beginning at 1:30pm. Refreshments to follow service.  Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
