Derrick Lee (Jr.) Carr

Derrick Lee Carr, Jr. was born July 17, 1974.  He was humanly imperfect and beautiful, as are we all.  As a natural-born athlete and artist, he created a lifetime of memories for his family and friends to cherish with love and a promise to celebrate his life.

He is survived by his sisters Maria (Tiny) Davis, Devika Lynn Carr, Dara Goncalves, and Tatiana Salas (and their families), and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Derrick Lee Carr, Sr. (passed away on September 19, 2025); his beloved mother, Marzella D. Davis; sister Chantal Polk; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Derrick passed away on September 4, 2025, at the tender age of 51. A memorial service in his honor will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Pippin Funeral Home at 11:00am.
