 Dennis Buren Ringstaff, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son and brother, passed away on June 20, 2026. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia on August 22, 1945, Dennis lived a life defined by family, craftsmanship, humor and quiet strength.

 Dennis was married to his devoted wife, Joanne Ringstaff, for 66 years. The couple made their home together in Bridgeville, Delaware, and built a life rooted in love and loyalty.

 A proud veteran, Dennis served as a paratrooper in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division from 1960 to 1963. His service was an early example of the dedication and discipline that would mark his life.

 Dennis was a hard worker who provided for his family through skill and determination. He worked as a painter and spent much of his career in the aerospace industry as an accomplished pattern plaster maker. Known throughout the industry for his exceptional craftsmanship, Dennis’s expertise took him and his family to communities across the United States. He was admired by colleagues for his precision, skill and the quiet pride he took in his work.

 Family was everything to Dennis. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; his children, Dennis William Ringstaff, Denise Louise Haggerty, and Denene Yvonne Ringstaff; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Deanna Lynn Wilson. To his grandchildren he was lovingly known as “Poppy,” a name that reflected the warm, playful and protective presence he held in their lives.

 Dennis had a special way with animals and was affectionately known as the “dog whisperer.” Dogs always flocked to him and stayed close by, a testament to his gentle nature.

 Those who knew Dennis will remember his expert craftsmanship, his witty humor, his playful trickery, and the steady, loving care he showed to those closest to him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to family, and friendships forged through skill and kindness.

With deep sympathy for his passing, Dennis will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by all who loved him.
