David (Dave) Lovett, Sr., a loving husband and father, was born on September 15, 1955 to James C. Lovett and Josephine Lovett in Philadelphia, PA. David graduated from Milford High School in 1972. He received his Welding Certification at Kent Vo-Tech.
David committed his life to Christ at an early age and his fellowship with the Lord continued throughout his entire life. In his 30s, David decided to move to Palm Beach County, Florida. While in Florida he met and fell in love with Irene (Andrews) Lovett.
On September 16, 1993, David and Irene were married and started a build a life together. David was a devoted member of Bible Church of God, Boynton Beach. David was also a member of gospel singing group. David and his family later moved to Philadelphia, PA for an opportunity at Aker Shipyard. While in Philadelphia, David was charged with pastoring at Bible Church of God, Philadelphia. While there, he was devoted to leading and growing the ministry. David and his family later returned to Florida.
David was a hard worker and an exceptional craftsman. David enjoyed welding and working on various projects. David was always working, even while vacationing. David also held positions at SpaceX and was most recently employed at Newport News Shipyard. He was dedicated to his church, wife, children, and his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Lovett and Josephine Lovett.
David leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife: Irene Lovett; Eight (8) children: David Lovett, Jr. (Shenelle), Tallisha Lovett, April Lovett, Aieshia Charles (Michael), Paul Lovett, Ambre King, Keyun Arnette, Vaneshia Lovett Foreman (Andre); Three (3) brothers: James Lovett (Olga), Sylvester Lovett, Charles Lovett (Chris); Three (3) sisters: Joanne Lovett, Annette Stevens, Lucy Lovett; 19 Grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many more relatives and friends.
