Curtis "Jerry" Riddick transitioned from this world, into the presence of the Lord on December 28, 2024 peacefully at his home. Curtis was born June 26, 1959 in Milford DE to the late James Jackson and Christine Haynes. He was a beacon of kindness and dedication, whose life exemplified the beauty of helping others and the joy of shared experiences.
Curtis attended Milford High School where he played baseball graduating in 1977. Following graduation Curtis began a long and successful career at Con Agra where he supervised over 20 years. Eventually, he became an entrepreneur of RC Janitorial Business where he retired in 2021 fully dedicating his time to his cherished family and embracing the next chapter of his life.
Curtis attended United Fellowship for many years, "Elder Riddick" under Apostle Boyd and Pastor Vaughn.
On July 22,2022 he united in holy matrimony with his wife Nathalien. During this time, he joined Greater Life Christian Church under Pastor Donald Ashley where he served on the men's ministry and community outreach, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others.
One of his favorite scriptures John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
His compassionate heart extended beyond his immediate family. He became a part of the State of Delaware Family Services where he took on the role as a foster parent and adopted many children to keep siblings together.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother Christine Haynes and father James C Jackson, his sister Sabrina Haynes, brother James Riddick and his aunt Minnie Dupree.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memory with his wife Nathalien Riddick and children: Kamron, Christina, Muhtadi, Christian and Chasiti; daughters: Elizabeth Sha-ron (Lee) Morgan, Nicole (Brandon) Jones, Kimberly (Dale) Benson, and son Desmund Riddick; brother Dale (Debbie) Riddick and Jamie Haynes; sisters LuLu Riddick, Gardenia (Harry)Turner, Jennifer (George) Bibbins, Jaqueline Douglas; 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children and special friend Linda (Ira) Farrow.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Union Baptist Church, 883 Lincoln Street, Dover, DE 19904 where there will be a viewing from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday.
