Clara Thompson passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in Millville, Delaware. Clara’s husband Richard and Son, Desazari Thompson preceded her in death. Clara was born in Altavista, Virginia to Isabelle and William Lynch who preceded her in death. Early in life, Clara moved to Washinton D.C. with her grandmother, Rosa Coles Poston where she graduated from High School. After moving to Delaware with her husband Richard, she graduated from Delaware Technical Community College and later attended Delaware State University.

At an early age, Clara was baptized under the leadership of Bishop S.C. Johnson, in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, where she was a faithful follower of the teachings throughout her life. Clara leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved Uncle Izell Poston and a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Pippin Funeral Home will hold a private burial. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank everyone for all the prayers and cards throughout her illness from meningioma. In lieu of Flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Delaware.
