Christina Faye Edwards, 80, Known as Teeny of Camden Wyoming, Delaware, passed peacefully on January 5, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. Born on April 20, 1945, in Ovapa, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Earl Murphy and Annie Ivy Ford.
For 66 years and three months, Christina shared a steadfast and loving marriage with her husband, Walter Smith Edwards. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and hard work, raising three children—David Larry Edwards (deceased), Diana Mae Hicks, and Loretta Lynn Brower (deceased). “Teeny” was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself. Whether tending to her seven acres, mowing, hauling firewood, or caring for those in need, she embodied strength and kindness in equal measure.
A woman of tireless energy, Christina found joy in both the everyday and the extraordinary. She was an avid card player who loved the company of friends and family gathered around the table. A talented painter, her treasured artwork captured moments of her life and love—most memorably, a painting of her husband and their dog Penny. Her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ guided her, and she now rests peacefully in heaven alongside her children and family gone before her.
Christina is survived by her devoted husband, Walter; her daughter, Diana; her brother, James Murphy; and an extensive family tree of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory with them.
Services celebrating Christina’s life will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Delaware, where viewing will be from 12:00 noon until service time. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.
Wow—what a woman, what a life. Her love, laughter, and hard work have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
