Charlotte Louise Holloway, 91, passed away on December 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Charlotte was born on September 29, 1934in Smyrna Landing, Delaware to the late Charles and Catherine Hitchcock. She graduated from Dover High School in 1952.
In April 1956, Charlotte married Craig Holloway, a union that would last 61 years until his passing in April 2017.
Charlotte devoted her life to her family and friends, whom she loved dearly. In her younger days she had a great love of roller skating and could often be found at the roller rink. Charlotte developed a love for genealogy in her later years, earning the nickname, “Tombstone Charlie.”
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Catherine Hitchcock, stepfather, Joseph “Bo” Wilson, brothers Charles "Sonny", and David Hitchcock, sister and brother-in law June and Walt Montz, brother-in-law George Kohut, and husband Craig Holloway.
Charlotte is survived by her sister, Edie Kohut, children Mark Holloway (Krista), Alan Holloway, Terri Donze (Barry), Brian Holloway, and Carol Torrey. Grandchildren, Brad Holloway (Alyssa), Joseph Holloway (Cecelia), Courtney Deputy (Michael), Sarah Sadlowski (Casey), Jayson Donze (Monique), Ashleigh Bush (Cory), and Sydney Torrey. Great grandchildren, Ellie, Sammy, Caysen, Lynden, Mason, Skylar, Emery, Cassie, Kayleigh, Danielle, Danika, Brayden, Noah, Tristan, Thatcher, and Aiden. Great, great grandchildren, Noah and Masyn.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Delaware.
