Charles “Chuck” Louis Moller passed away on June 19, 2025 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on September 5, 1942 to Charles and Edith Moller.
After a brief time in the public education system of New Jersey, he voluntarily enlisted in the US. Air Force where he was taught the skills to become a welder. During his enlistment, he was stationed for a time in Anchorage, Alaska at Elmendorf AirForce Base, which had a profound effect on him. He was present during the Great Alaska Earthquake on March 27, 1964. There is no truth to the rumor that he caused the earthquake.
He was transferred to Dover AFB in 1964 and married Sally Fraser, whom he had met at his sister’s wedding 2 years prior. They began a family while Chuck started a career serving the brand-new Kent Vo-Tech as a welding teacher. He also began operating Mastercraft Welding, which continues to be a family run business today.
Later in his life, Chuck became a Mason with Masonic Union Lodge #7 out of Dover and found a new level of friendship and fulfilment through that organization.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, and his wife of 47 years. He is survived by his 4 children (and 3 spouses,) 1 close nephew, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His loss will be felt deeply by a community of friends and family cultivated over nearly 60 years of commerce and 83 years of living.
Visitation will be held at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 from 4:00 P.M.-6:45 P.M. on Thursday June 26, 2025 where Union Lodge #7, A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic services at 6:45 P.M.
