“Junior”, “Pops”
Charles Milbourne Webb, Jr., 90, "Junior", "Pops," of Wyoming, Delaware, passed away on November 17, 2023 at his home and farm, embraced in love by a few of his girls.
Junior was born March 27, 1933 in Mud Mill, the first born to the late Milbourn and Barbara Webb.
He was a farmer from the minute he entered this world and never considered doing anything else. He attended school in the Caesar Rodney district where he was very active in sports, the band, student council and of course the FFA. He could always recount his times on the football and baseball fields and at the State Fair showing and judging dairy cows. It was during his high school days that he began seeing the most beautiful girl at school, Verona Medford. They married shortly after graduation and had 35 years together, building a family, a farm and an iconic feed store. Junior was a simple man who had everything he wanted in life, his family, his farm and a couple tractors.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Verona, his sons David and Dennis, his siblings, Lawrence, Barbara Ann and Tommy, a special daughter-in-law and friend Prudy.
Pops is survived by his daughter Holly Webb and his granddaughter, Wendy Webb who were also his caregivers in his final years, his daughter Dawn Cox (David), his granddaughters Kristie Failing, Mindi Failing, Kimmie Ebke (Chris) and his grandson Denny Webb (Rebekka), seven great grandchildren, his sister Blanche “Sis” Satterfield, his special friend and fellow farmer Bryan Melvin, who was like a son, foster grandchildren David McDonley and Luke Murphy, his furry grandkid and snack buddies Louise and Annie, and several close nieces, nephews and cousins.
Many thanks to Delaware Hospice and nurses Taylor and Mary.
