Charles Monroe Carroll

Charles M. Carroll passed away, Sunday December 26, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was 83.

He was born in Elizabethton, TN and raised in Newland NC.

He served in the US Army from 1956-1959 and stationed in Fort Dix NJ and a tour in Italy.

 He met his wife while in NJ, where they married and started their family. He worked for RCA while in NJ. They moved to Delaware in the early 60’s where he retired in 1997 before moving to Florida.

Through the years he worked for Jarman’s Garage, S&S Motors A.R. DevalsCo. and Independence Electric Motors. He joined the US reserves in 1978 and retired in 1996 as Master Sergeant.

He loved to hunt, fish camping, traveling and tinkering on cars and boats. He loved his family with all his heart

He was preceded in death by his parents Jay and Fay Carroll and his wife of 62 years Myrtietta Carroll.

He is survived by his 2 sons Charles J. Carroll SR. and his wife Penny and Michael J. Carroll and his wife Paula. 4 grandchildren- Brian Boone (Amanda) Charles J. Carroll Jr. (Tracy) Tiffani Scheeler (Craig) Michael J. Carroll II * great grandchildren. Chelsea Livingston, Grace Carroll, Makenna Scheeler, Jackson Scheeler, Cameron Boone, Arya Carroll, Chloe Scheeler and Austin Boone, sister Linda Barr (Dave) and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 3pm Saturday, January 8, 2022 with Pastor Cornelius Murphy officiating in the chapel of Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, DE. Where friends may call after 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 92 Reads Way Suite 205 New Castle, DE 19720-1633
