Cathy Renee Leday-Charles

Cathy Renee Leday-Charles, of Dover, originally from Opelousas, Louisiana; went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 19, 2023 in the Center at Eden Hill, Dover, after a lengthy illness. She was 61.

     Cathy was born October 27, 1961 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late, John L. Hill & Lois Leday.

   She served proudly in the United States Army & Reserves for over 22 years. She made a career of being a registered nurse, working in various venues throughout her lifetime. Cathy liked to read, sing, and dance, but her greatest joy was her love for being a grandmother.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Leday, her grandson, David Carrier; 2 brothers, Dalton & Marlon Leday;  a nephew Leonard Leday, and son-in-law Quint Carrier, Sr.

   Cathy is survived by a son, Reginald Leday & wife, Becky, of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, LaQuita Carrier, with whom she resided; her grandchildren, Mason, Anakin, and Nonie Leday, Christian Elmore, Quint Carrier, Jr., Troy Wilson, III, and JaQuint Carrier. Her step-father, Richard Stagg, of Opelousas, LA; 4 brothers, Ronald Stagg, of Minnesota; Davantae Broussard, of Opelousas, LA; Joseph Hill, of Houston, TX; and John Hill, Jr., of Spring, TX. 4 sisters, Vernice Leday, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Rose Muhammad(Albert), of Long Beach, CA; Viveca Godley(Eric), of Houston, TX; and Toosdy Hill, of Humble, TX; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
