Carolann M Nevins, of Camden, completed her lifetime journey and went home to be with God on Sunday, March 17, 2024 peacefully at Paradise Senior Living, Georgetown DE at the age of 87 after a sudden decline in her health. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Thomas J Nevins, Jr. who passed on November 8, 2019. Carolann is survived by her son, David Nevins, his wife Michelle, their son, Chris Nevins of Hockessin; and, her daughter, Leslie Szramiak, husband, Kevin Szramiak, and their son Joshua Szramiak of Surprise, Arizona.
Carolann spent her career serving those she loved using her culinary skills both in the Pentecostal religion and in the Caesar Rodney High school district from where she retired. Carolann enjoyed socializing with friends and being involved in her religion. Previous to being at Paradise Senior Living, she lived at State Street Assisted Living and at Dover Place Assisted Living and enjoyed an active senior life. Carolann had a spirit of love and kindness, and her soft spirit will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Among Carolann’s many friends were her close companions; Judy and Jim Weeks and Barbara and Jim Vecore; as well as parishioners in the Pentecostal religion.
