Carl Eugene Brenneman, 64, of Greenwood Delaware, died on May 5, 2026.
Born the third son to Harold and Anna Brenneman, in Milford, Delaware on June 4, 1961, Carl grew up on the outskirts of Houston, Delaware.
Beginning as a farm hand at 16 years of age, Carl progressed through the construction trade, masonry, mechanics, specialized welding and industrial production line design and implementation.
Carl enjoyed salt-water fishing in the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, from which he developed a steady demand for his ability with building stainless steel flying bridges and accessories for fishing boats. His main joy was quiet time at home with his wife Rhonda and their Labrador Lily, walking in the woods, cooking on the grill, and caring for the wildlife on their property.
While Carl was socially reserved and generally avoided crowds, he developed strong and loyal ties with a small group of friends and partners. He was a good neighbor, dependable in any need or emergency, knowledgeable on all things mechanical and practical to a fault. He leaves a void in the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his father Harold, his mother Anna, and a younger brother Richard.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rhonda and by his brothers Paul and Ronald.
An open gathering of remembrance is extended for those wishing to express their condolences and visit with family, Sunday, May 10, 2026 from 3-5 p.m. at the Tressler Mennonite Church, 13371 Wolf Road, Greenwood, Delaware.
Private burial was held for immediate family.
