Cameron ‘Cam’ Allen Maas, 73, of Camden, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 21, 2026.
Cam worked for the State of Delaware as a para-transit driver until taking early retirement to pursue his musical career. A lifelong musician, he performed with many local bands as a singer/songwriter and lead guitarist. He also traveled throughout the country as a studio guitarist, playing on tours and sharing his passion for music with countless audiences.
Cameron was preceded in death by his parents, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Roy F. Maas and Daphne Ann Maas of Camden, and by his best friend, Grover Alexander Hall Jr. of Willow Grove.
He is survived by his son, Cameron Allen Maas Jr. of Little Creek; Cameron Jr.’s mother and caregiver, Gale E. Maas of Dover; his sister, Pamela Magee of Dover; his niece, Dawn Miller, along with her family, of Magnolia; as well as many lifelong friends, fellow musicians, and all those whose lives were touched by his music and friendship.
His music, laughter, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
