Bruce M. Moran

     Bruce M. Moran, 85, of Magnolia passed away on September 1, 2021. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Anna W. (Pusey) and Clarence Wesley Moran.

     Mr. Moran was a research technologist for the DuPont Company, retiring after 36 years of service. He was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of Ogden (PA), where he served as a trustee, youth leader, Sunday school teacher and superintendent, and a member of the choir and choir director. During the thirteen years they lived in Florida he was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Englewood, FL, serving not only as a deacon but on several other committees as well. He was currently a member of Faith Community Church in Dover, DE.

     Mr. Moran was an Air Force veteran, serving his country for four years. He was a volunteer at the Air Mobility Command Museum on the Dover Air Force Base. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, model trains and building model airplanes. He had a real love for antique cars, he could tell you the year and make of the older cars he saw. He also enjoyed studying military history. He played the trombone in his high school years and later in life he played in the alumni marching band for Chichester High School, PA. He enjoyed boating and riding his motorcycle. He played softball in a league of athletes 60 years of age and older. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

     Mr. Moran is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia F. (Foreacre) Moran; four children: Karen Harner and her husband Dan of Bradenton, FL, Kimberly Lawrence and her husband Kevin of Columbia, MD, Kevin Bruce Moran and his wife Melody of Bear, DE and Kristen A. Boyd and her husband Bobby Jr. of Wilmington, DE; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. Moran was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilhelmina (Bryant) Moran and by his brother, Rev. Clarence Norman Moran.

     A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Faith Community Church, 2240 S DuPont Highway, Dover, DE.19901 where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Community Church at the above address or to World Vision, P.O.
