He was born on May 12, 1957 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Bruce worked as a security guard and enjoyed fishing, making crafts with grandkids, word search and storytelling.

He is preceded in death by his father Bruce F. Hykes, Sr.

Bruce is survived by his mother Anna Hykes, wife Elaine Hykes, children Bruce F. Hykes III (Angie Hecker) of Lewes, Toni Strail (Dave Strail, Jr.) of Felton and Alberto Gonzalez (Jessica Baer) of Halifax, FA, grandchildren Thomas Hykes of Lewes, Alpachino Gonzalez of Halifax, PA, Sean Hykes of Lewes, McKenzee Jo Hykes of Lewes and Joseph Strail of Felton, and a brother George Hykes (Lori) of Harrisburg, PA
