She shared 28 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Mitchell Ellison, whose unwavering love and companionship were a source of great joy. Brenda was a devoted mother. She was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nine. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she embraced each new generation with open arms and a loving heart.
Brenda had a remarkable career in advertising, working with The Delaware State News, The Guide, and early in her career worked for Olan Mills where she traveled, training others in telemarketing. She had a natural talent for connecting with people. A woman of many passions, Brenda found immense joy in scrapbooking, crafting, photography, and traveling. She had an eye for beauty and a knack for preserving cherished memories, always making sure those she loved had something tangible to hold onto. Whether capturing life's moments through a camera lens or creating heartfelt keepsakes, Brenda poured love into everything she did.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Mitchell; her devoted daughter, Crystal Calderon (Louis) of Smyrna, DE; three step-daughters, Bonnie Craddock, Christie Walker and Krystal Ellison, all of Eden, NC., her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her beloved aunts, Virginia Holmes of Reidsville, NC and Eunice Massey of Winston-Salem, NC; her dear brother Richard Samuel Basham Jr (Joyce) of Winston-Salem, NC; several nieces and nephews and many extended family members who will carry on her memory.
