Bobbie Kaye Obituary

Bobbie Ann Kaye, 77, of Wyoming, Delaware passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026. She was in the care of her loving daughters Christine and Amanda.

Born June 2, 1948, in Wilmington, Delaware to Robert and Alta Alexander, Bobbie grew up in New Castle alongside her siblings Diane, Greg, and Karen. Bobbie attended Del La Warr High School, where she especially loved her Friday art classes. After graduating, Bobbie began working as a secretary for David Kaye, who would become her husband and the father of her three children: Matthew, Christine, and Amanda.

Deeply passionate about what she believed to be right, Bobbie became active in politics, joining the Republican National Committee and Right to Life organizations. She was never afraid of a spirited debate and her convictions were rooted in her desire to see biblical values upheld in the world. She encouraged everyone she knew to “stay involved, or get involved, in your local politics,” believing strongly that communities thrive when their people take part in shaping them.

Bobbie was also exceptionally creative. She loved decorating, sewing, and crafting, whether making her own curtains or re-wallpapering a room five times until it felt just right. She created memories for her children through homemade birthday cakes, piñatas, original songs, hand‑sewn Halloween costumes, and the big family gatherings she loved to host.

Later in life, Bobbie discovered a deep love for movies, finding joy in discussing them with anyone who would listen.

As her children grew and moved out, she began a tenancy business in Delaware, renting rooms in her home. Many of her tenants stayed for decades, and Bobbie took pride in providing affordable housing and support to those who needed it.

Bobbie is survived by her children Matthew Kaye, Christine George (Shon), and Amanda Sinclair (Charles); her sister Karen Dimatta; and her grandchildren Alexa, Jayana, Zavia, Logan, Ava, Mackenzie, and Maddox.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Alta Alexander, her siblings Greg Alexander and Diane Walker, and her sons Daniel Kaye and Nathaniel Kaye.

Bobbie’s life was marked by passion, creativity, and love. Through every season of life, in both joys and challenges, we remain grateful for the love Bobbie accepted and the time we shared.
