Bishop Ronald Richardson Obituary

   Bishop Ronald S. Richardson, Sr., of Dover, was summoned to his eternal home, on March 13, 2020. He was 71. 

    He was born on April 17, 1948, in Queens, N.Y. to the late, Robert E. & Clonie(Pope) Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Frankie & Antonio Richardson, and one brother, John Richardson.

     Ronald received a diploma in 1966 from Gary Job Corp and in 1981 Apex Technical School. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the United Christian College in 1996; and served proudly in the United States Army.

    He held jobs as a shop steward at Park Line Elevators, and was a welder at American Steel. He held many positions at Local Union United Brotherhood of Carpenters # 949 & 2870. He also served as warden, conductor, trustee, and financial secretary.

    Ronald was called to preach the gospel on December 31, 1993, and enrolled in the Mason Kelly Washington Religious Training Institute in 1994. He was ordained as an elder in the Church of God in Christ in 1997, and served as assistant Pastor to Dr. Lacey at Outreach Church of God in Christ. He received the 2001 Black Heritage Fellowship Award from the N.A.A C.P., New York Branch; and was appointed chief adjutant to Bishop Aubrey Baker at the 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

     He also served as the Bishop of Bread of Life Christian Church. He was faithful to God as well as the people of God. He will be greatly missed.

    On December 23, 2010 he married Apostle Faye Richardson, Senior Pastor of Bread of Life Christian Church, Wyoming.

    Left to cherish his memory is his loving, faithful, and dedicated wife, Apostle Faye K. Richardson; One daughter, Dawn Reid; Four sons, Kevin Richardson, Sr., Raheem Richardson, Ronald S. Richardson, Jr., and Tyreek Richardson. He leaves a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and leaves to mourn one Aunt.
