Betty Ann Fuhr (Ford), 75 of Camden, passed away at her home on December 5, 2024. She was a cherished mother, sister, aunt, friend and “mee-maw”. Betty was born on January 20, 1949, to the late Mary (Kimble) and Clifford “Red” Ford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Harold, Laurence and Leslie as well as her sister Gloria Caldwell.
Betty attended Caesar Rodney High School and has worked in the restaurant industry for 40+ years. She dedicated her last 28 years to Harrington Raceway and Casino as a hostess at Onion Jacks. For everyone that knew Betty, you know she loved animals, especially cats.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacquiline Black (Ardy Azarsa) of Rockville, MD and her 2 brothers, Richard (Gail) Ford of Clayton and Leroy Ford of Camden. Further survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Betty will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, starting at 11:00 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made a local animal shelter or rescue organization.
