Barbara Ann Adriance, 59, of Magnolia, Delaware, passed away suddenly at her home on January 15, 2025. Born on April 29, 1965 in Jersey City, New Jersey she was the beloved daughter of Ken and Eileen Adriance.
Barbara Ann is survived by her fiancé Bob Hardesty; her son Matthew Fransisco; and her cherished grandson, Brantley Fransisco. She also leaves behind her loving sisters Dianne Shlan (Mike) and Lori Hatch (Tony); nephews: Ryan Shlan (Emily), Joey Shlan, Brandon and Anthony Hatch; niece Sydney Hatch; as well as her aunts, cousins, and many cherished friends and colleagues.
Barbara Ann dedicated many years of her life to serving others through her work at Bayhealth Medical Center and later with Caesar Rodney School District. During her time with Caesar Rodney, she was instrumental in the successful opening of McIlvaine Early Learning Center, the districts first brand-new school in over two decades. As the school’s first cafeteria manager, Barbara Ann poured her heart into her work, always saying she was “feeding her babies.” Her passion for nurturing and caring for the children left an indelible mark on the school and its community.
Barbara Ann was known for her unwavering kindness, warm smile, and genuine care for everyone she encountered. Her love for her family, friends, and the students she served will always be remembered.
A Celebration of Barbara Ann’s Life will take place on Saturday February 22, 2025 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. Visiting hours will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Ashley Addiction Treatment, 800 Tydings Lane, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
Barbara Ann will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her compassion, love, and the lasting impact she made on those around her.
