Arlene Annette (Morris) Weatherspoon

     Arlene Annette Morris Weatherspoon went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2026 after a long battle with heart and kidney problems. She was a fighter. She was born November 22, 1962 to Barbara A. and the late Sylvester Morris, Sr.

     She was educated in the Caesar Rodney Capitol School District. There she met and married Carlies Weatherspoon. Arlene had three children: Veronica, Carlies and Keith. She worked at General Foods for several years before moving to Lawrenceville, Georgia. She later returned to Delaware and started working at Wawa where she worked until her health started failing and she went on disability.

     Arlene loved church and singing her gospels, praying for and helping people. She also loved playing spades, going out to eat, but don’t let her food come cold or the staff would hear about it! She loved the casinos.

     Arlene was preceded in death by her father; 2 brothers Sylvester and Michael; 2 sisters Virginia Flamer (Ricky) and Sonja (Terri) Morris/Tony Bracy.

    She leaves to mourn 1 daughter Veronica; 2 sons Carlies and Keith (Man Man); her mother Barbara A. Morris; her sister Barbara J. Morris;  5 aunts: Mildred (Thomas) Clark of Dover, Audie Clark of Georgia, Alfreida Clark of Philadelphia, PA, Elaine Taylor of Felton, DE and Minnie Harding of Camden, DE.; 4 uncles: Elmer Clark of PA, Tyronne of Georgetown, Ronald of Dover and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

     A memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
