Annie M. Williams Melvin, 72, of Milford, Delaware, transitioned peacefully on March 31, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born January 25, 1954 in Ellendale, Delaware to Olden Waples, Sr. and Annie Harmon Waples. She was one of eight children.
Annie graduated from Milford High School and worked at ACME, CT Film and later became manager of McDonalds in Blue Hen Mall and Louise’s Cleaning.

Annie enjoyed playing games on the computer and reading about different topics she was interested in. She enjoyed Willliam’s pets. One would even watch over her as she slept.
Annie is survived by her son William Williams and his fiancé Becky Adams who were her care takers; grandson Zavriel Waters of Dover, DE and granddaughter Satora Roberts of Milford, DE; two great grandchildren; her sisters: Rev. Jean Wylie of Milford, DE, Diane Little of Dover DE, and Phyllis Hayes (Bruce) of Dover, DE; her two brothers, Olden Waples, Jr. of Felton, DE and John Waples of Ellendale, DE; many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend of the family Albert Short of Ellendale, DE.
