Ann Britton Russell, of Camden-Wyoming, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was 96.
Ann was born December 3, 1924, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late, William & Margaret(Steelman) Evans. She served proudly as a Nurse in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
She worked at T.J. Max for 16 years, retiring in 2016, but her crowning achievement was as a Foster Grandparent where she was active for over 35 years, retiring in 2017. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, doing seek & finds, and crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William B. Evans, Jr.
Ann is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Martin, of Felton; a step-child, Jackie Russell; 4 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 12 noon, Monday, January 11, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home,Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view 1 hour before ,adhering to the current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing, social distancing, and 50 people maximum at a time. Burial will follow in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
