Amanda Beth Pieshala, of Camden, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Delmar; surrounded by her loving family. She was 44.

She graduated from Caesar Rodney High School, and attended Bloomsburg University in PA. and continued her education receiving her B.S. Degree & Master Degree from Del- State. She had worked as a self employed contractor for D.D.D.S, and as an assistant manager at Lowes.

Amanda was a member of the Westville 4-H Club, Image Makers, FFA, a Band Front person for the Caesar Rodney High School Marching Band while in High School; and was a member of the Maryland Polled Hereford Cattle Association. In her free time, she showed polled Hereford Cattle, gardening, and loved music.

In addition to her parents, Dee & Rich, Amanda is survived by a brother, Steve Pieshala & wife, Erin, of Harrington; a niece, Lauren Pieshala; her aunt & uncle, Donna & Roger Grimes, of Salem, West Virginia; an aunt, Mary Ann Pieshala, of Mahwah, N.J.; and several cousins, Mike, Autumn, and Adam Grimes; Andrew Grimes & Samantha Reed; Stephanie & Scott Zirkle, all of Salem, WV. And Vinny & Patty Paruta, of North Jersey.

It’s been a long 8+ years since our Amanda suffered her anoxic brain injury. We wish to Thank all those who cared for Amanda, businesses, builders, and volunteers who built a room at our home so we could bring Amanda home, those who ran & supported fundraisers on her behalf. Anyone who shared care giver duties, brought food to our home, and cared for our animals in our absence. If you ran errands for us, picked up necessities or helped in any way. To the Doctors & Nurses over the years who cared for Amanda; to friends and strangers alike who helped along the way, we are blessed to have such good family support, who supported our family through this life changing experience. And lastly to the Staff of the Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation Center who cared for Amanda for the past 2 years. She was at home there and treated her like family. We were the lucky ones to have placed her there.
