Amanda Horton, age 20, of Dover Delaware, lost her courageous battle with cancer on July 25th, 2021.
Amanda will be deeply missed by her loving parents, Regina and Glenn Horton, and her sisters Brittany and Kaitlyn, who were also her best friends. She was a true angel taken from her family way too soon.
Amanda will also be missed dearly by her extended family including her grandparents, Terry Horton & Maureen and Bill Berge, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and her true love, Colin Roy.
Beyond being a member of our family, Amanda was a role model to those around her, inspiring others to achieve greatness. Her bravery shown during her two-year battle with cancer not only encouraged others, but also motivated Amanda herself to reach out and help others fighting childhood cancer. Whether it was her selflessness, kindness, or simply her generosity, Amanda always managed to bring a smile to everyone's face. She was a remarkable young woman who graduated from PolyTech High School in 2018 and was attending Delaware State University where she was consistently awarded for her academic achievements. She was also employed by the Delaware Department of Safety & Homeland Security where she was the Corporate Partners Outreach Coordinator.
A viewing will be held from 2-4 & 6-9 pm, Friday, July 30, 2021 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, DE, where funeral services will take place at 10am, Saturday, July 31, 2021.
