A. Curtis Barlett

     Alvan Curtis Barlett, 86, of Dover, Delaware passed away July 2, 2025. Curt was born May 10, 1939 in Philadelphia and grew up in Aldan, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Drexel University with a degree in chemical engineering. On July 1, 1961, he married Elizabeth Habecker. They moved to Dover in 1969. Curt enjoyed traveling and was a Civil War enthusiast. Preceeding Curt in death were his parents, Albert and Eleanor Barlett, his father- and mother-in-law, Donald and Alice Habecker, and his son-in-law, Stephan Kristic.

     Curt is survived by his wife, his son, Scott Barlett of Dover, daughter, Melissa Kristic and her partner Gary Steele of Bowers Beach, his grandson, Seth Ames and his partner Hallie MacDonald, his great-grandchildren, Sophia, Peter, Aubrey, all of North Haven, Maine. 

     Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July10, 2025 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier.  Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware.

     In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be directed to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
