Veronica Ann Watson was born, July 23, 1968, at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford De. She entered into Eternal Peace on Monday, January 1, 2018. Veronica was the daughter of the late William James Watson and the late Rebecca Lee Anderson.

Veronica was the life of the party.  She would make you laugh until you cried with her loud and infectious personality.  She loved to sing and shop her favorite brand Louis Vuitton and travel the world.

Veronica graduated from Milford High School in 1987. She attended UMES (University of Maryland Eastern Shore) for 2 years before enlisting in the Air Force.  She served in the Air Force, stationed at Dover Air Force Base, from 1989-1995.  She received the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit award, as well as other awards not listed.  Veronica served in the Operation Desert Shield Storm from 1990 -1991. She then listed in the Air Force Reserves and continued to serve our country from 1996-2001. While in the Armed Forces, she continued to pursue her education at Del Tech majoring in Human Services and in 2006, Veronica graduated from Ashworth College with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.

Veronica worked for the State of Delaware Department of Corrections for 21 years, where her co-workers became her family.  In 2011, she was appointed a Family Court Special Advocate for the State of Delaware.  She also obtained her Notary license for the State of Delaware.  Veronica retired from DOC in July 2013 due to her illness. In June 2013, she married her husband and friend, Kevin Eugene Warren.

At an early age, Veronica was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ at Philadelphia Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Major Foster. She was an active member serving on the Usher Board, the choir, office administration, just to name a few. 

During the latter months of her illness, she began to fellowship with Greater Love Temple in Milford Delaware, where the Lord continued to give her reasonable strength to fight the good fight of faith.

Veronica is preceded in death by her father; Elder William J Watson, mother; Rebecca Lee Anderson, siblings; Janie Wright, Eddie Bradley, William Bradley, Vonda Watson, and her loving companion and friend, her Pomeranian “Precious”.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband of four (4) years, Kevin Eugene Warren, Her siblings: Ida Tillman of Ft Lauderdale, FL; Edward Bradley of Dover De; Wilhelmina Watson of Killeen, Texas; Dalphine Watson of Milford, DE;  Garrett (Robin) Watson of Magnolia, De; Darryl Watson of Claymont, DE and Tomara (Kevin) Williams of Milford, DE; Godmother, Brenda Bowe;  Four (4) Godchildren, Terrance Neal, Jr, Kamren Foster, Precyous Waters, and her great nephew, Jyaire Wright, and a very large host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Viewing will take place Friday, January 12, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 13, 2018, in Jesus Love Temple, 106 South Walnut St., Milford, DE; where family and friends may view 2 hours before. Burial will follow in Milford Community Cemetery.
