Vance Sammons

     Vance Sammons slipped away from this life peacefully while he slept on September 12, 2017.

     He was born April 27, 1954 to Walter and Viola Sammons in Clayton, DE.  After graduating from Smyrna High School, Vance joined the Army.  While stationed in Germany, he attended culinary arts school, where he became a master chef.  After retiring, he enjoyed his hobbies of fishing and watching his favorite sports team the Philadelphia Eagles.

     Vance was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Viola Sammons, his brothers Walter Thomas Sammons, Sr. and Walter Lewis Sammons, Jr.  He is survived by his daughter Heidi Sammons of Newark, DE; soulmate Vonda of Bear, DE; sisters Brenda Beers (Jack) of Virginia and Freda Sammons of Dover; and a host of nieces and nephews.
