Tyson Cohee, 98, died peacefully at home on September 15, 2017. He was preceded in death in 2012 by his wife of 67 years, Doris. Born on the family farm in Henderson, MD, November 21, 1918, Mr. Cohee was a farmer before going to work for the State of Delaware as an attache to the State Senate and House of Representatives and then for the Department of Motor Vehicles. He was a member of the first group of Justices of the Peace appointed by Governor Charles Terry. Judge Cohee always was proud to have been reappointed as a JP for five terms by Democratic and Republican governors alike. He will be remembered for his wit, wisdom, and sense of fairness. He is survived by his children William (Sandra), of Virginia Beach, VA; James (Donna Stahl), of Fenwick Island, DE; Gail Cohee (Jennifer Rankin) of Cranston, RI; Karen Hutchison (James), of Dover, and Wendy Cohee Dunn (Patrick), also of Dover; nine grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving caregivers Teresa Lane, Sarah Brown, and Martina Cephas-Kpnana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Delaware Agriculture Museum, 866 N.
